Yavapai West Double Queen Room

These rooms feature two queen-size beds and can accommodate up to four guests.

These rooms feature one king-size bed and can accommodate up to three guests.

FAQ

Leashed dogs are welcome on named trails above the South Rim. This offers scenic views without compromising their safety or that of wildlife. You can also bring your furry sidekick to Mather Campground, Desert View Campground, Trailer Village and pet-friendly rooms at Yavapai Lodge West. Developed areas throughout the park are open to leashed dogs as well, providing ample opportunities for adventure.

Yes, some of our rooms are pet-friendly.

Grand Canyon National Park allows leashed dogs on named trails above the rim (not on any inner Canyon trails for their safety and yours).
Walk the South Rim for great views and a safe, pet-friendly hike.

You’ll get to see some of the big draws of the Grand Canyon:

  • Yavapai, Hopi, Mojave and Mather Points.
  • Stop by Yavapai Tavern to grab a drink and enjoy lunch on the patio with your BFF (best furry friend).
  • Check out Desert View to cool off with some ice cream.
  • Shop at Yavapai Lodge Gift Shop and pick up a souvenir for your favorite sidekick!

For their safety and the protection of the park’s ecosystem, pets are not permitted below the South Rim, on park buses (except for service animals) or in most park lodging. However, pets are allowed to stay with their owners in pet-friendly rooms at Yavapai Lodge West.

Yes, a kennel at the South Rim is open daily from 7:30am to 5:00pm, offering a safe space for dogs and cats. Reservations are recommended and proof of vaccination is required. To secure a spot, call 928-638-0534.

Pet Heat Safety: Keep in mind that temperatures at the Grand Canyon can rise significantly in a short period of time. Never leave your pet in a parked car, and consider walking them in the cooler early morning or evening hours to protect their paws from hot pavement. Always bring water and a collapsible bowl, and be mindful of your dog’s comfort level during hikes.

Yes, WiFi is available at the Yavapai Lodge main building (WiFi is not available in Yavapai Lodge guestrooms). HOWEVER, due to our remote location, the WiFi has limited bandwidth and is not ideal for downloading, streaming, Skype, etc.

The registration desk at Yavapai Lodge is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Check in time is 3:00 p.m. and check out is 11:00 a.m.
